New Scout Campout Report
We had a great time camping out this past weekend...although we definitely could have used much less rain than we received! The van did get stuck Friday night and it had to camp with us in our campsite.
Saturday was a lot of fun helping the Council out with the Sporting Clays for Character event. The boys really seemed to enjoy themselves and they all got free hats for volunteering. The hats are actually very nice and I have seen them wearing them constantly since.
Court of Honor Saturday night went really well. We were missing just a few folks that we had hoped to see but we still have 15 boys and their families there. Did not each as much food as we thought we would either, but oh well. It was a great time. We gave out 58 merit badges and 19 rank badges. Very proud of our Scouts!

Popcorn Show 'n SellSaturday, September 11 We will meet up at the church at 7:50 am in Full Uniform. We will then split into groups, load up the supplies that we need and head out to be on site by 8:30 and start setting up. We will begin selling as soon as we are setup or by 9:00. 97 OKK will be onsite at Citizens National Bank from 10-12. The Scouts will sell popcorn until noon and then pack up. We will all meet up for lunch (so bring lunch money) before heading home.
Fall Camporee
Friday, September 17 through Sunday, September 19 The Scouts will compete against other Troops to build a raft and float it down a portion of the Chunky River. Weekend promises to be a lot of fun. More information to come. Last Updated (Wednesday, 01 September 2010 20:24) |
